Editorial note This is a translation for information. The German version at /datenschutz/ is the authoritative text — that precedence should be stated expressly before launch.

    01General information

This privacy policy sets out in detail what happens to your personal data when you visit our website lextract.ai. Personal data means any data by which you can be identified personally. In processing your data we adhere strictly to the statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and we attach great importance to your visit to our website being entirely secure.

    02Controller

The controller for the collection and processing of personal data on this website is:

    Name
    Lextract GmbH
    Address
    Karlstr. 54
    80333 Munich, Germany
    Telephone
    +49 171 3545496

    03Access data (server log files)

When you access our website we automatically collect and store access data in what are known as server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically. This includes in particular:

    • browser type and browser version
    • operating system used
    • referrer URL
    • host name of the accessing computer
    • time of the server request
    • IP address

As a rule it is neither possible nor intended for us to relate this to an individual. It is attributed to a particular person only where there are concrete indications of unlawful use. This data is processed under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

    04Contacting us

If you contact us, in particular by email or through our contact form, the data you send us, including your contact details, is stored so that we can deal with your enquiry or be available for follow-up questions. Your data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time; an informal email is sufficient.

Data you have sent us remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent or the purpose for storing it ceases to apply. Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

    05Use and disclosure of data

We use the personal data you send us solely for correspondence and for the purpose for which you provided it to us. It is disclosed to third parties only:

    • to the credit institution instructed with the payment, for the purpose of payment processing,
    • where required by law,
    • or where you have given us your express consent.

Your personal data is not sold or otherwise marketed.

    06SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, our website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can tell that a connection is encrypted by the browser address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and by a padlock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL/TLS encryption is active, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.

    07Web analytics with PostHog

On our website we use the web analytics service PostHog, provided by PostHog, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. PostHog allows us to analyse user behaviour on our website and to improve what we offer accordingly. What is recorded is, in particular, page views, clicks and interactions.

We deploy PostHog in such a way that data processing takes place within the European Union as a matter of principle. A transfer of personal data to third countries (for example the USA) cannot, however, be ruled out entirely. To protect your data we have concluded a data processing agreement with PostHog. Any transfer of personal data to third countries takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.

This data is processed on the basis of your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings on our website. Further information is available at posthog.com/privacy.

    08Retention period
