What Lextract is.
Lextract is an AI-supported platform for M&A legal due diligence. It structures the information of a transaction across the entire due diligence process and turns it into dependable deal intelligence — ordered knowledge the lawyer on the deal can work with. In concrete terms: reviewed findings, Q&A, summaries, reports, register insights and the finished due diligence report in the firm’s own format.
The process follows three steps. First the documents are brought onto the platform, either uploaded directly to Lextract or synchronised automatically from a connected virtual data room. Lextract organises, qualifies and extracts them automatically. It identifies and assesses material clauses and risks across more than a hundred document types, flags red flags and inconsistencies, and enriches the analysis with company register data on the entities involved, which removes the need for manual register research. Finally, at the press of a button, a consolidated cross-document due diligence report is produced.
Every finding can be traced back to the clause and paragraph, in the automatically produced analysis as well as in the chat with the documents. The lawyer keeps not only a clear overview but full control: the finished report is produced only after their review and sign-off. The due diligence report can be adapted entirely to the firm’s standards, and the firm’s format means more than layout here — the report builds up retrievable firm knowledge for the firm’s own review process.
Lextract specialises in M&A legal due diligence and covers the whole workflow, from document review through enrichment with register data to the final due diligence report in the standard of the firm concerned. Designed and built by lawyers, for lawyers.
